Smile Another question about Bows- Sorry

I know when making bows you starch them, but does anyone put something in the loops of the ribbon to help them make their puffy shape while baking them?

Also does it make a difference in how tight you get the knot when tieing them off, that makes them puff out? Thanks again!!!

you can use wax paper, parchment paper, aluminum foil etc to help shape the loops while starching them.

I'm sorry, how do I use those? Do I bunch it up in the loops? To help it form.

Also last night I use 2 empty thread spools and stuck them in the loops, starched them and baked them. Boy did they have a POOF!! I had to flatten the loops down some. I was wondering about making me 2 small piece of wood to put in there to help make the Poofy look. What do you think. I don't want to continue using the thread spools, they might just melt.

Also do you know how close I need to get my ribbon on the dial rod to make korker ribbon? My seems a bit droopy!

It miht be the size dowel you are using. The bigger the dowel the droopier they can get. I have my ribbon either touching or very close when I wrap it the I spray it with starch and bake at 275 fro 20 min. Also if you have stiffer ribbon it curls better. Hope this helps.
