Default rag bows

I would love to find free instructions on the rag bows above but I bet that is virtually impossible, however can someone tell me are they made on alligator clips or french clips /

I used a french clip and just made it like a loopy bow, using pre-cut pieces of fabric instead of one long length of ribbon. I made something like this for my daughter 30+ years ago and recently made this for my granddaughter!

Would you mind sharing how long/wide you cut the fabric... your bow is adorable!

I got the tutorial. It's the first one I've ever broke down and paid for!

I am very pleased with the tut-In the past, google has been my friend. Now though, my fourth baby is walking and I just don't have the time to spend figuring things out! In this case, the money was well worth the time and frustration that she is saving me.

Plus, she's a real sweetheart-I really feel like she wants us to be successful mastering her technique.

What if you tried to make it the same way as a korker but with fabric? Maybe cut the fabric 1/2" wide by 4" long?

Or, this link was posted in another forum. But I would use a needle/thread instead of wire:
Offray Ribbon: How To: Pinwheel Bow

I've attached a photo of a loopy bow I made with fabric strips added in. The fabric strips are 1" by 4". I cut the fabric with pinking shears.

so cute! Do you spray the fabric with anything after you use the pinking shears? I know the pinking shears helps prevent fraying but sometimes fabric still frays, in my experience anyway.

I was wondering this also...I make scrunchies with fabric and pinking shears but after my DD wears them a couple of times they fray also...could a person use scotch guard?

No, I did not spray the fabric with anything. I have made this as a sample to match a boutique outfit and it has not been worn yet. You could always state in the description that slight fraying might occur and give it a more "vintage" feel. I've seen that with a lot of appliqued item listings on etsy.

hth,
Jessica
