Default Alligator vs. snap clip

I hope this is the right forum to post this, if not I'm sorry! I'm new to this and I'm looking for your opinions. I have an 11 month old with very fine hair so I have only used snap clips, which seem to stay in when she isn't pulling them out. I was wondering are alligator clips usually used with thicker hair/older child? What does everyone like to use the most? Thank you for the help.

It totally depends on the baby's hair! My daughter is turning 2 yrs old in a few days and she can still wear the baby snap clips (the small 1-1/4" ones). Yes, she has enough hair for the alligator clips, but sometimes I prefer using the snap clip because it's harder for her to pull out.

For an 11 month old with very fine hair, I think you are better off with the snap clips. Size wise, they are smaller which I think looks more proportionate on a small baby's head. My girls went right to the alligator type because at the time (before I started making them), that's all I could really find in cute styles. But, if you do go with the alligator with the no slip, those should stay in fine too.

Alligator clip lined in velvet is always my favorite! i have a 2 year old redhead who has the finest finest hair....(barely there hair...poor thing!)
They stay in perfectly!! I find the snap clips are a pain to get in and they never stay put. I can get the alligator clip in even if she's fussy! (ie: a moving

my 8 month old has very little hair and can wear both.

I prefer the snap clips though!
