Default Velvet - Fully lined or partially lined?

I just started making hair clips, and just love using velvet for my lining. It seems to stay in my daughter's hair so much better (very fine hair, and not much of it!) So far I have fully lined the clips that I have made, but after reading all the threads on partially lining clips, I am wondering whether it would work to partially line with velvet as well.
So what works best for you and your customers?

I have never had anyone ask for a fully lined clip, most of the moms I sell to always ask ahead of time to make sure the clips is not fully lined. Anyway, I use velvet for my no-slip grip, and it works great on partially lined clips. I just adhere it to the inside top bar. I have found that most mom's like the bottom bar of the clip uncovered because it is easier to put the clip in their little one's hair. When I first started making bows I did do fully lined clips.

I 3/4 line, I line the underside of the top, the top and just under the pinch clip on the bottom. I used to fully line, however after my girls made the point that it hurts to slide them in, I stopped covering the bottom of the clips. My cusomers were thrilled with that change, now they slip in easily

I've had the opposite response---I fully line all of my clips. The feedback I've received is that partially lined clips "poke" the kids in the head and don't stay in as well. Customers have told me that they buy mine (fully lined) because the other ones look cheap (like someone is cutting back on the ribbon they use..) and it makes it too easy for kids to pull them apart...
I guess everyone has a slightly different opinion : ) Try them both I guess and see which one works best for you!

Thanks for the responses! I've got a craft show coming up so figure I'll do mostly fully lined (those seem to be what sells around my area, if others bows are any indication), but do a few partially lined to see if there is an interest. Thanks!
