Smile Re: flip flop glue

I made flip flops for a my DD gymnastics team. I wrapped ribbon around part that foot goes through and used hot glue. seemed to hold pretty well. I couldnt get the korkers to stay so I attached them to a small french clip and put that through the ribbon I wrapped and they stayed in place wonderfully. Doing that made the bow interchangrable.

i've used gorilla glue It seems to hold pretty well. You do have to dampen the flip flop strap LOL and then you have to clamp the ribbon down for a couple hours before you try anything though.
I just cut my ribbon, then glue it, use aligator clips to clamp it down. I then leave it set for 2 hours. So far it's been working.
I have tried hot glue before, it held up for a few days, then started falling apart

Is it easy to work with the gorilla glue? I might have to try it.

yes it's easy to work with, you just have to clamp it down first and let it dry completely. and only use a dab because it expands to 3-4x its size.

I use Gem Tac and E6000. I use high quality flops I read from multiple places that flops that are cheaper sweat basically making the glue not hold well.

i use old navy flip flops. hot glue does not work on flip flips period. most people use e6000. I prefer not to use that as a personal choice. To me gorilla glue works just as good.
