I have a book somewhere around here from like 1980 that has instructions for one of those! I can't find it though. That book cracks me up and it's funny that these things are all coming back...even the 5" frames in the little girls glasses are coming back as sunglasses-LOL

I think they look cute too. BUT, since I have an infant, I don't think I'd buy one for either her or her big sister. Balloons aren't allowed in my house! I might be a fuddy duddy, but whenever I give into balloons I'm sure to find the pieces in my baby's mouth.

Well, if you are a fuddy duddy, then you and I BOTH are. I don't have balloons in my house for the same reason. My 11 mo. old likes to put everything in his mouth

I have a balloon phobia. Yeah, strange, I know. Dunno where it came from but I've always been afraid of them. I get really anxious and jumpy. For bdays I go to the dollar tree and get those mylar balloons which are way better anyway. LOL! Just thought I'd share.
Actually, I'm in a flip-flop mania, so I think I'm gonna try the balloons on a pair If they're not blown up, surely my nerves will be fine LOL!

I had one of these when I was little too. I do remember being able to easily slide the balloons out if you pull the right way, I would keep them away from small children as well (I know my 2 and 1 year old wouldnt be able tokeep their hands off it!) They are cute though!!

I remember having one when I was younger as well. I have the instructions for this site: Howstuffworks "How to Make Girls' Hair Barrettes" saved in my bookmark folder. I believe the balloon was is the second one down or so.
