I've bought them in the past too. I don't like the ribbon they are made of, it is narrower and my girls can pull them apart. They ahve yet to pull apart one of my bows.

Walmart has some cute ones too- but they're 3 for 2.99. My daughter wore those when she was a baby, before I started making bows and most of them ended up pretty frayed- not that you couldn't just fray-check them! Yikes! I've also seen sets with a baby headband and interchangeable bows for about $4 with teeny little bows. But we don't work in sweatshops for .30 cents a day, ladies!

I always notice those too, but they don't offer many colors, and the quality is terrible. I'm sure people buy them, but Target is not the first place to start offering hair bows. Claires, Walmart, Dollar Tree...basic bows can be found all around, but you very often get what you pay for. Now if they started offering 50+ colors, dozens of styles, and multiple clip types, then I might start to be a little concerned.

Girls, I have been to Dillard's ones, and I went to check on their bows. I was shocked!! They had the worst quality tiny bow for $10. I showed them to my husband, and he said that mine were definitely better. That made me feel better.
But, yeah, every time I'm in Walmart, I go check their bows, and some look cute and very cheap. I wonder who makes them so cheap?

Target bows - argh! I went to help my sister get ready for my niece's birthday party this week and saw one of those bows on the baby's head! I promptly took it off, threw it into the back of the car, and replaced it with one I had just made for her. I got on my sister for the icky bow and she said that she hadn't been able to find any of the 50 or so that I've made for her daughter and had to buy some while they were out. So for Charli's birthday yesterday she got a lovely butterfly bow holder filled with new little bitty bows (I'll post a photo as soon as I can).

Darn Target/WalMart/KMart/Etc!

I know they're convenient, but doggonit, what happened to the good ole days when, if you wanted groceries, you went to a grocery store and when you wanted clothes, you went to a clothing store, and when you wanted gardening tools, you went to a gardening store.....

AND WHEN YOU WANTED A HAIR BOW, YOU WENT TO YOUR LOCAL BOWMAKING LADY!!!

ARGH!
