Default Braided Headbands....covering the headband

Just wondering how everyone covers their headbands for the braided headbands. I have been lining mine with 7/8 inch then 3/8 but saw some that were wrapped with 3/8.

i saw a tutorial where the weaving was being done on the inside of the headband as well as out so there wasnt a need to cover/line the inside...i'm pretty sure it was from hair-hardware.com

I am braiding them instead of weaving. I can't get the weave right to save my life!!
