Default OMG! These are So Cute and I need to know how to make them....

Like now! Tutu tanks? I think these would go over really well the the girls that are too old for a tutu, but still wants something super girly. Does anyone know how to make them? I figure if you just sew tulle at the bottom, it won't have the stretch it needs to be able to fit over the head.
Tanks

Thanks,

You could stretch the bottom of the shirt while you're sewing it on.

44.00 ((eyes buldge out of head)) WOW! Thats pricy! Those are super cute, but I dont think getting over the head would be an issue, its a rather big opening at the bottom kwim? that looks like a super easy job,

get a pretty piece of strech ribbon, pull it as tight as you can while sewing then tack it fast to the outfit, and walah instant tutu tank lol

I bet I could make that in like 20 minutes! I think I would ruffle the tulle then sew it on the shirt and add the ribbon to cover it all, then do an applique! I may have an old tank of Chloe's to try it on today!
Don't stretch the shirt! it will make it look funny...think of it like a big ribbon sock???LOL but ruffle the tulle first and sew it on then cover the stitches with the ribbon or trim. Sew slow so the shirt wont stretch too much and look all wonky. HTH
I am going to try it as soon as I find that darn tank.

The long sleeves are $50! I think we all need to make a living but geez, lets not be greedy! Who would pay those prices?

They are quite high priced...I would say with the applique-$8(at best) then the tank-$4 then the sewing and tulle $6 + time= like $20-25 maybe? if they were personalized with name. With the material cost she maybe has $5 in it- the applique and sewing time are the biggest cost I would think.

Those are too cute!! I might just have to try that today! They look super simple. But $44 is WAY too much. If you ladies make one up, be sure to post pics!!

I wanna see when you're done and tell us how you did it. I've got some small pieces of tulle laying around and I'm sure I can find an old tank around here some where.
