Default using zip ties for streamers?

Can someone explain or show me a pic of how you attach streamers with zip ties. I'd like to make a bunch for the craft show, but it seems like it'll take forever...thought I'd try the zip tie method as I have a huge bag of the small ones!

O.K. This is how I do mine. First sew your ribbons like you want them and then all you do is get a zip tip and hook the ribbons to the pony'o. Cut the stem off and then I take my woodburning tool and melt down the excess plastic. It ends up pretty smooth and sealed read good. Real Easy. I got the idea from someone on here a long time ago and just played with it my way.

Ok so you just sew them like you would normally do, and then attache the ribbons to the ponyo with the zip tie? I get it! THANKS

Silly question, but do you sew the ribbons and cinch them together while sewing, or let the tie do that part as well??
