Default Is there a trick fo making the toggles stat in?

I made a few toggle headbands. I tried them on myself and my daughter so far. They don't seem to stay in as well as everyone was saying? Is there some sort of trick? I have used 5/8" and 7/8" ribbon. Am I tightening them too much or not enough???
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

The toggles stay on everyone that I "tested" with, except for myself!

I think that I just don't have the right-shaped head LOL Honestly though, my head isn't flat on the back, but it is flatter than everybody else that had no problem. I figured that was what it was.

I wear them all the time, both 7/8 and a thin 1.5". I put the headband on around my neck and adjust the toggle then slide it from the forehead back. This way there's no hair to get caught in the toggle. Does that make sense?

I've actually bought a headband that had a toggle with an elastic going through it. they added the elastic inside a satin headband, just a couple of inches at the bottom of the headband... stays it really well!

Nothing ever stays in my hair either. I just made a few & put a little strip of shelf liner in the middle of it & it stayed all night at work. I am a nurse & do 12 hours & it never moved on me at all with that on it. I wore 1 without & I was messing with it all night.
