Default elastic for tutus

i love making tutus and im selling some this wekeend at a craft fair. my only problem is that i've been making them with a ribbon waistband because everytime i use elastic it stretched out SO BAD! i've tried every kind of elastic but nothings working for me. i like making mine really full and tight so i think thats why it stretches out so bad. what do you ladies that make tutus use??

thanks in advance for the advice

I started using the thicker type elastic headbands. That way, I don't even have to sew the elastic! They fit great for my 3 year old. I haven't made many tutus for older kids, but I don't think they would fit them as well. I haven't had any trouble with the stretching.
Hope this helps.
