Default aligator clips

I just started using alligator clips. when you line them do you line the whole thing so you can see no metal or do you leave the bottom prong free so it slides in the hair better? My friend has an almost three year old with to strands of hair and we put a fully lined clip in her hair and it stayed all day they are just kind of hard to slide in my girls hair when it is pulled up tight! wow I am long winded this morning lol

I just cover the top and then about 1/2" of the bottom. When covering alligators, I cut my ribbon 4 1/4" long and then heat seal the ends. I start gluing on the inside of the top and then glue the rest of the way around. It comes out just about perfect on the bottom.

I partially line mine. I know another person who fully lines her and people complain that it doesn't slide in the hair very well. To get mine to stay in well I use carpet tape and they stay in all day.

I start gluing the opposite way, lol! Like in Michelle's how to section.

But yes, just partially lined.

That is what I do too. I also use shelf liner on the top on the inside, so they don't slip out.
