Default How to attached embellishment to ponytail holder

Hi Everyone

I was hoping someone could help me. I have the ponytail holders, the ones without the metal seal and I want to attached an embellishment onto it. My embellishments have the backs like a button. So I could slip the ponytail holder through it but if I cut it I don't know how to seal it back together.

Anyone have any good suggestions as to how to do this? I appreciate any input anyone has.

Thanks!!!!!

try folding the ponytail holder in half, slipping it through the back and back through itself. HTH and hope you can understand what I said.

But if you do it that way it is not secured on right? It could be pulled off pretty easily? I am doing these for sale in a retail store so I need to make sure they are really on there. I have a meeting this week so I need to get this right.

Only other thing I know you could do is cut the back off the embellishment and glue it on.

I was thinking of doing that with a hot glue gun. I think that would hold?? I have bought some that seemed to be put together that way.

That's the only other thing I can think of. You can use E6000 too if your embellishments allow and you can handle the smell.

I don't really want to use that stuff. It has toxic components to it. If you read the fine print on the back of the package it says what type of diseases it can cause if inhaled. My kids are around when I use and so I rather stick with the hot glue gun.

I am a little crazy about that kind of thing

i've never made a ponytail holder, but i might sew it through with a matching color of thread. that way it seems more secure. hope that helps!

Personally, I have never seen that done and would be quite nervous to put them in a store with just hot glue on a pony - o. Sorry - but the embellishment could come right off - not what you want. Could you do some sort of a simple bow on the pony tail holder and then put the center on the bow?

I have seen and actually bought some that are applied with a hot glue gun. I have tried to pull some off and they don't come off easily. I have not actually gotten one off since I don't want to break it but have tried. If I can't get it off I don't think a kid can. But then again you never know. I actually looped the ponytail holder through the back of the embellishment and then glue it on so it is secured twice. Don't know if I am going to sell them yet or not but look cute in my daughter's hair.
