Question Does Anyone Use Stiffner on Flowers?

Okay guys, I need some advice.......I bought my first flowers at Michaels last night for my kufis. When I took the first one apart it seems kinda limp and floppy. Are they all like that or are these just cheap? I wondered if any of you have ever stiffened your flowers with a light mist of starch? Or would that even work? TIA

I use alot of layers in my flowers so they are nice and full, then they are NOT floppy and flat. I don't think you would want to use a stiffner. JMO

Thanks so much for the reply. Does it help to layer, even with the bottom layer of petals? That is the one that seems so floppy......I hope this makes sense. Thanks again, and by the way, your flowers are gorgeous, and so is your little model!!

I don't use a stiffener, but you could try it and see what happens....I also layer in a bunch....if they are floppy just layer 2 or 3 together....

Thanks, Yes layering helps a lot. If you think one of the layers ( such as the bottom layer ) is really flimsy or thin you don't have to use it. All my flowers have ATLEAST 6 layers of petals. If I don't they seem to flop around and look really flimsy and cheap. I like full flowers, and the fuller they are the stiffer they will be!! HTH!!
