Default Korker Help

I've made some korkers but steer clear because you can often see the thread or elastic I use to tie them.

Is this because I am using too few peices? I made one tonight and I used 28 peices. The peices were 2 1/2".

What is the smallest size you make??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I don't really count the ones I make. I don't make them all that often because I find them to be too much work. If you are seeing the thread or elastic I would think you either need to add more ribbon or possible pull it tighter.

I thread my korkers on the needle...like you do popcorn at Christmas-LOL and then wrap it and thread it again and tie it off....I use matching thread and I don't have a problem seeing it. I don't think that helps much but....I hope it will.

When I started bows, I started with korkers, bought boxes to hold them to tie them etc. My daughter was able to pull them apart in minutes.

Sewing them is the only way to have a secure bow that you won't see the string, thread, etc around the bow.

I make them from 1.5" to 4" from 8 pieces to 35 pieces. I have come to not making them very much because the time involved doesn't equal the money you can charge for them.

I agree--sewing them is the only way I know of to ensure that you won't see the thread or whatever else you tie them with.

I used to tie mine and the kids were able to tear them apart. I have started sewing them and haven't had any trouble since.

Yes, I'm stacking each piece on top of each other on the needle, and yes, I do use a long needle. I use at least 32 korkers for each bow.
