I use plain old spray starch. Then just let them dry.

How do you do this? Just spray with hairspray and let it air dry? Or do you use a dryer on them? or bake them? I have used spray starch but they never really get stiff.

I use something that works MUCH better than starch. I take Elmer's Glue and add water to it until it looks like milk. Then I submerge my ribbon into the mixture. On the way out of the bowl, I run the ribbon through my fingers, getting rid of excess glue, wrap them around wooden dowels and bake them for about 20 min. at 200 degrees. Before I take them off the dowels, I spray them with hairspray and let them cool. If they don't cool, they'll lose their curl pretty fast. Then once I make them into a bow, I spray them again with hairspray. It works great.

I first spray m bows with fabric starch an then spray them with Aussie extra hold hair spray. I worry that the starch will eventually wear off.

I read from one of the posts that someone used Rave hairspray to stiffen the bows. I tried it and it works like a charm. It costs $1.97 at Walmart and plus it smells good
