Thanks for the info. I will have to give it a try! I'm sure my son could put them through the test.

Spray starch works great.

Hi, do you spray before you put it in the oven or after? and how long do i leave them in the oven, what about after i take them out, and do i spray when the bows are made, or do I do the ribbon by itself then make the bows?, I am sorry I know those are a lot of questions. I am kind of new with bow making.

I use spray starch on mine to stiffen them. If I'm in a hurry to get a bow done I will add it to the layers still damp and it still stays in the shape I had it

Hello girls, I have tried stiffener stuff on some of my bows, and I think that bows are too stiff. Is it ok? And do you stiff all of your bows?

I kinda have the same question. I'm assuming you all spray and stiffen before making into the bow....cause if you use hot glue, wouldn't it melt off of an already made bow?

I've never tried starch. I've only only used stiffy from HL.

I use stiffen stuff. I bought a few of those $1 spray bottles you can get in the travel size bins at Walmart. I use them instead of the bottle it comes in and haven't had a problem with clogging.

I've used the stiffen stuff but dont really like it. I'm going to try the starch but when you spray them and then bake them do you let them dry before baking them or go ahead and put them in the oven while still wet?
