HI Angela... =) Hope all is well with you and your baby...

I use woodburning tool to seal the V instead of lighter.

I fold my ribbon in half the long way and make a crease. Then I unfold the ribbon and lay it out on my glass cutting board. From there I lay my metal ruler from the center crease out to the end of the ribbon and cut it with my wood burner. Then repeat on the other side. Hope that makes sense. I am getting my DD ready for school so I am not here 100%. HTH

Heya! Thanks for asking! We are doing well. Alyssia has slight reflux, which explains her perference to be carried.

Oh! I have attached a pic of her with a bow! Wish I have one with her looking into the camera. But that kid just would not look at the birdie! LOL!

Hi Ladies!

Cynthia - Do you cut your Vs like tatortot does?

tatortot - Thanks for replying even though you are rushing to get DD ready for school. It sounds like alot of work just to get those Vs. I am going to try it later. I read in the forum that we can fold the ribbon in half lengthwise, and cut a slant to get the V. I tried and I ended up with fused ribbons instead. I am using a soldering iron. Would wood burning tool have made a difference?

ohhhhh..looksie the cute princess! She's beauuuutiful... LOVE the hair and of course with the bow...

TFS your DD's precious pic.... =)

K, back to tooling the V..lol.. I do mine the long ways. I cut the V with a scissor. I laid the unsealed ribbon on my *cutting glass*, take a metal ruler and run my woodburning tool swiftly, inward->outward. Basically the same as tatortot, 'cept that i cut my V first..

hmmm..hope that make sense too..

I fold it & cut it & before I let go of the fold I run a lighter over it quickly. I usually seal with a woodburner but for this I can't get a good straight v. As soon as I am finished with the lighter I let go so it doesn't seal it together.

That's what I was going to suggest too. I don't have a wood burner and my Vs always looked awful until I started doing it this way. It now looks nice and clean..and neat looking.
