I use eleastic however I never made one really. However I just bought Grossgrain streach (similar to eleastic) from a store by my house. That would be neat to use I think.

I feel it is safer to use use elastic. I have seen tutus with long ribbons on them and the mom's didn't like them as much. Tutus are addictive...you have been warned. lol.

I use the no roll elastic. My girls like to wear their tutus all the time and its easy for them to put on and off.

When i tried with the no roll elastic it bunched up and folded over when i tightened the know. What was i doing wrong?

I think you pulled the knots too tight--you want it tight enough to hold, but not so tight the elastic buckles. At least, this is my experience...
