Default How do you make crocheted headbands

I really would like to make crocheted ribbon headbands. Can you actually make them or are they buy item only. I have searched and searched with no luck. I am hoping that someone has some insight into this

What kind of crochet headbands?

Do you mean these?

These are machine woven/crocheted and the price is $0.95 each or $8.4 for 12pcs in our store.

The real crochet headband, I'm sure you can make them, you might want to ask in crochet sub-forum to see if there's a pattern available.

Thanks.

I get mine for a quarter each from a local store, but even at a dollar each I'm wondering is it really worth it to make it? Lol, I know......I'm a bit lazy!

Yes I heard that some dollar stores sells them. About $1 for a 3 or 4 pc assorted pack. Not sure which dollar store though.

Thanks girls...I didn't realize that they were so inexpensive to buy. I can see that there really isn't a point in making them if you can buy them for less. Thank you for all of your help

The manufactured headbands are very, VERY stretchy with rows of thin elastic stitched to the underside of the weave. This makes them one size fits all. If you crochet your own, they will likely be more size specific too. If you were interested in doing your own, you could probably find a pattern on youcanmakethis.com . I know they have a free pattern for a skull cap (beanie).
