Just wanted to add that although I use a needle and thread now, it helped me to use wire around the crease when I first started and it helped me learn to shape the bow with the crease properly.

Building on this suggestion, start with using elastic cording, manipulate it so it is even, etc. and then you and go back and sew it and then cut the elastic if you prefer the stability of hand sewn.

When I started out with just the simple pinwheel bows it was hilarious! I just kept looking for better instructions and lots of practice. Good Luck!

I'm glad someone else said this because I feel the same way. Although it's true you have to keep trying to get it right. When looking at pictures it seems everyone gets it but me!
