Default Attaching Clay Centers

I made some bows and hot glued the clay centers to the bow. Both that I tried fell off after a week. I don't know if they were too heavy or if I need to try something other than hot glue. Any suggestions? TIA

I use clay centers alot and I put E6000 on the back and then place my 3/8 ribbon on and let them dry at least overnight. I then attached them to the bow with hot glue. Seems to work pretty well. Thanks!

I also use the E6000 and think it works pretty well. It does help if you put something on it as a weight to dry overnight. ( the E6000 does take a while to dry) The scoring in the back idea sounds great too but I have never tried it personally. HTH
