Default help with stacked bows

i am new to bow making and i am clueless on how to get this bow to look like its supposed to. my sprays are too long and if i trim them they end up looking like crap. i don't think i'm making the right type of bows. the bottom bigger bow i am using a boutique style bow and the top one i am using a pinwheel style bow. is that right??? i'm getting so frustrated!!! could anyone give me some tips and maybe ribbon lengths for the bows, sprays and loops. i don't know if i'm making mine too big and thats the reason they look like they do. i would love to make my daughter this bow to wear when we go to visit family for thanksgiving but i'm almost ready to give up. please help!
thanks
amy

The stacked bows def take some practice. I should take some pics of what my first few stacked bows looked like and then let you see the progression of how they got better the more and more I made them.

Just keep practicing and you will get the hang of it. If all else fails I am sure one of the ladies on here would be more than happy to make your sweet little girl a hair bow for when you go and visit family.

Check out my site, just click the link in my siggy.

well i can't figure out how to put a picture of my bow on here but i made one and when i put it on my daughter it sticks up really far off of her head. is it supposed to be like that or did i make it too small and that is what is causing it to stick so far up? if anyone could please help me get the sizing right or tell me what i'm doing wrong or any help...it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

You could add it to photobucket and then post the link.
As far as it sticking really far off her head? Sounds about right, alot of moms like a bow that is very much stacked and really sticks up off the head. I'd have to see a pic.
