Just began doing bottlecaps for the center of my bows and am wondering if any of you may have advice on what to seal or put over the designs...to make them shiny etc...i tried one of the epoxy items suggested on another site but it has very strong fumes and takes forever to dry...any other suggestions...??? Oh...i also tried the page pebbles i had someone suggest and i just don't think they look as nice and aren't as durable...thanks so much!

Although I dont make them and can't help you personally, I used the search button up above and came up with this. You might can find more.

I personally use envirotex lite & love it. It does take 24 hours to cure but they look so nice. I think after doing them for a while I have acquired a liking for the smell. Some people use crystal diamond glaze. It still has a long cure time also. I have tried triple thick & it turns yellow & even turned my white caps yellow. I think anything that you use that will look good is going to have a long cure time on it.
Not sure if this helps you or not!

I also need advice on this. I tried to make some last week, using Diamond Glaze, and it made some of my images run so they look blurry and I do not like the way they turned out at all. Is there a secret to how much Diamond Glaze to use? What are you all printing your images on? I used glassy photo paper, is that wrong? Please help, I need some Hip Girls advice!

Thanks,
Terra

you have to use clear fingernail polish first before the glaze. that will keep it from smearing.

I just did my very first ones today, funny you should ask this.
I used Envirotex Lite and they are so pretty. I will say a little of this
stuff goes a very, very long way. I only do bows for my dd and will need to adjust how much I make. I print my images on Kodak glossy paper and they did not run at all.
I don't smell as well as the normal person due to an accident years ago, so the odor does not bother me as much.

Can you get envirotex lite at Michaels? I looked at HL last night & they don't carry it.

I bought a bunch of images on etsy, just do a search and you should find a bunch. Most sell for about $1.95 a sheet.
