I know it's been discussed, but what do you use to tie your bows. I bought some elastic thread, the only kind I saw was near the jewelry making stuff. I tried that it still broke when I went to tie it. I bought a roll of machine embroidery thread because our store doesn't carry the floss kind that you use for cross stitching. If you sew yours would you mind sharing how you do it either by hand or machine. I have several instructions that i have bought or got free I also have the gator bite. I'm not having a problem w/ the folds or pinching just the securing part. TIA for your help

I sew all our bows & also use the gator bite. Once the bow is folded, I place it in the gator bite, then I take the needle thru the middle of the bow. I then wrap the thread around the bow (which is still in the gator bite) until I get the perfect crease. I then carefully take it off & tie up the thread. HTH!

I use button hole thread. It is very strong and you can pull it really tight.

The only thing that I have found that does not break for me is 8lb fishing line. Holds tight and will not break.
