Default 1/4" headbands

I have a bunch of 1/4" headbands, and I'm not sure what to do with them. If I want to make woven headbands, do I need to use 1/4 ribbon instead of 3/8 or will 3/8 work. I'm been staring at these headbands so much that I think they're looking back at me now.

Why don't you make interchangeable headbands?

Just wrap the headbands in a solid color (simple and basic so the go with a lot of different colors, like black, brown, pink) - and glue a little loop to the top side to slide in a clip - that way you can slide in any of he clips you want.
They're also great as a giveaway: Buy 3 bows get an interchangeable headband free
The pics below are examples of how I do mine:

Those are so cute, Sabine! What a great idea. How did you do the ends? It looks like you just used one strand and ribbon & overlapped your wrapping, is that right? Thanks!

Sabine- those are super cute!

I just made some for a friend's dd this weekend with interchangeable sleeves to go over them. I sewed 2 pieces of ribbon together, closing one end, to make the sleeve. I embroidered "Go Navy" on the top of one of them. They came out really cute and were very simple. I love wearing the smaller headbands, so I'd love to hear other ideas too.

Yup, wrap wrap wrap. Glue it down with a dot of hotglue once in a while to keep it tight.
Play with the ends, kinda glue down on the inside of the band at an angle and pull over the end, then wrap over itself before going up (that makes no sense when reading LOL - just kinda play with it).
I used 3/8" ribbon.

TY for the compliments

Sabine

I was thinking about buying some 1/4" headbands myself and wondered the same thing.

Those are really cute Sabine.

LOL I tried weaving the ittys - and they're adorable once they're done in the 1/4" ribbon - I made some little ones with satin ribbon and was ready for the loony bin at the end! LOLOL
They're quite a bit of work but well worth the effort!
Have fun and share pics of the results - whatever you come up with!
