TNT Bows........

So here it is 5:23am PST and yeah I'm still awake. I got my TNT templates Friday, I waited till my baby went to sleep so I can play with them. So After 5 hours of playing around with it I made 8 bows!! I don;t have the center knots on them yet, they are just tied right now. Anyways i really feel that I am not cut out to be a bow maker. Maybe I will just stick to lining clippies and embellishing them. The bows I made.... Well I don't know.. I just don't think they look right?? I have sat here for hours following the instructions to a T. Wish someone lived close to me to come help me..

I don't have my template yet but I can see in the purple one that the top left loop is a little wrong. the back should be straight from left to right and the front of it should be angled up more.

Oh sorry, the bigger of the two. the bottom picture. the boutique bow. I don't see a problem with the other bows, just the boutique ones and that's all about the angles.

Does it make sense what I said about the back being straight from left to right and the front of the loop is supposed to be straight up and down.???

well i was following the instructions and spread the loops as it said to. i dont think the ribbon will do what you suggested. it seemed to only go that 1 way. i will try again tonight after the baby goes to bed.

I got TNT the other day too, and I'm having a hard time with the "cinching" Only half of the ribbon wants to cinch pretty, if that makes sense.
I'm bummed, I just can't get it right

I got my TNT templates and feel like I found the Holy Grail of Bowmaking LOLOL

just take your time when creasing your bow - it's not gonna happen like magic

Here are my results in the first three hours - most are 1.5" - the smaller are 7/8" and the houndstooth 5/8" (by now I have a ton of 'em made up and am ready to stack - weeee):
