Default Ceiling Tiles

I Used To Make And Sell The Bulletin Boards(ceiling Tiles) @ The Shows I Did . You Can Purchase Them By The Case @ Most Building Supply Stores. I Painted Mine With Diff. Themes And Designs . They Are Very Easy To Make But They Will Break (the Corners) If You Barely Bump Them . I Stopped Selling Them Because Of This Reason . A Tip Though , Use Elmers School Glue Around The Outside Before You Paint , It Provides A Seal That Hardens , So They Dont Tend To Break As Easily . Hope This Helps !

Thanks so much!! So you just kinda "paint" the outside edge with elmers?? or you do the top part?? Did you use acryllic paint?? That is what I use for my wooden bow holders and don't want to get into this if I have to buy different paint. THanks so much!

I am so excited!! I went to Lowes last night and the guy that helped me was super nice!! He asked me what I needed the tile for, cause he saw me kinda explaining to my DH what I was gonna do. He offered me 16 "damaged" tiles for $10.00!! They normally sale 4 for $20.00. I am so excited!! There isn't anything wrong with most of the tiles, it's just the boxes were opened, so people don't want them anymore. YEah Me!!! I trimmed my first one tonight and am gonna paint it tomrrow. I will post pic's ASAP!

Do you have any other hints for painting them-- like what kind of brush works best. I painted my first one with a white background and it was ANNOYING! The texture makes it hard to get it in all of the grooves. Any other hints??

They are bulletin boards made out of big ceiling tiles. They turn out really cute and are something fun for their room.

Dont Try To Get The Paint To Completely Cover All The Little Indentions, That Is Almost Impossible - I Usually Left My Backgrounds Plain , And Just Painted Designs On The White Background- And Paint Pens Are Great For Smaller Designs, Names , Etc. I Use The Push Pins With The Clear Plastic Ends When I Use Mine As Bulletin Boards !
