Looping Bows

Okay .. I have the little pampered princess boutique instructions.
On a boutique bow, the basic LOOPY bow, is 4 loops. Its made for the loops to face OUT. I cant get the loops to form properly they look pinwheelish to me when I try it. How do you make your BASIC LOOP bow.
I want my 4 loop bow to look like these polka dot ones do on this auction.
How they stand out like that.

Do I loop and glue them in place ?? or can i just loop them and secure the middle??
How do I get them to stand out like that. The folding part is what gets me.

LOL okay The bow Im ending up w/ looks like the brown and aqua bow in this picture. The aqua blue bow in the center is my loopy bow
I wanted it to be more.. LOOPY lol.. does that make sense ??
I wanted it to be more like the ones in the auction above BUT with a 7/8 ribbon instead of a3/8.

Hey Kat,

I am with michelle, if you post a picture of yours, I would be glad to try and help. Are you focusing on the middle red bow or the surround bows around the center red one. One thing about the center red, is that she made a large bow with small ribbon. Doing that will give you that "lots of material" look. Or that is my term for it. Please look at my under construction website. . The style of bows i am workng on listing is the loopy boutique bow, also under layered, i have some 3" bows in pink stack like hers w/o so much ribbon used. ~~mindy p.s. you have to add the index.php because i haven't released the website to the public yet.

ahh okay I looked and yes its like those. Mine are all funky and lopsided
How do I straighten them out and make the loops fold correctly ? Kat

Do you use a bow maker? If not you might want to try that. It really helps make those loops and get them all even and to stand out.

Yea one of those wooden things. When you get the ribbon retreat's TOTT instuctions they send you one. You can make one easily enough but their's is nice.

I will be making some bows tonight and I will take some pics as I go for you. They will not be Michelle quality, but I would like to try and help you out. I make mine by hand, (w/o the bowmaker) it is not hard once you get it down. The trick is to over exaggerate the angle of your loops. Also i hand tie mine so that I can adjust my loops to make sure that all each side is equal to each other and then I tighten them up.~~mindy
