Default Felt = Non Slip?

Has anyone tried to use felt on clips? Does it work like non-slip? I tried lining velvet but it didnt work for me. =(

I tried fun foam, that holds as well as Gripzies at a fraction of the cost! They can grip single strand of hair, but can't hold the jiggling. LOL

I have not try felt... and asking around and hoping for some answers. Otherwise, it would mean making a trip just to get felt. Ugh!

I did try waffle liner. They work great! But they are only available in blue here. No whites or pinks. It looks really weird in blue.

That's all I use and everytime there's a thread about what people use, I don't think it's ever been mentioned. It's so cheap I can't even include it in my prices-lol.

I need to learn about this. I know it would increase my sales. I am beginning to have people to ask how to keep bows in daughters hair. So can someone direct me to a photo of putting something in the alligator clip.
Thanks,
Teresa

Oh! Then I really have to get my hands on some felt to test. The local craft store has sticky felt, which I hope will make my life easier.

Is there an online store to buy felt/wool to make those gorgeous flowers?
Cythnia?? Where are you?

I think the sticky felt may be even more time consuming than non by the time you peel the sticky back you could have them on. The biggest pain is having to cut them, but I'm good at eyeballing it, so it doesn't take me long. I get my felt at a wholesale place that sells it by the yard or something like that, so I just cut it in strips long enough to cover my clips and then cut it off the strips as I make my clips....or, if I have time, I cut it all up beforehand, but lately it's just been working to cut it off the strip

I haven't tried the felt, just the shelf liner and the duck carpet tape. I LOVE the carpet tape!!! It holds so much better and I think it was like 6-8 bucks for a gigantic roll. It also holds a single starnd of hair and then self sticks.

Oh! You have a good point there. I cant seem to get felt at wholesale prices. In fact, they are so expensive that it would be cheaper for me to get carpet tape instead!

I was planning to use my roller cutter and quilting ruler to cut strips of them to glue on.
