Hi and welcome to the group! A few basic supplies are a good way to start
Scissors
Glue Gun
Hair Clip Hardware (snap clips, alligator clips, french clips etc)
Ribbon (grosgrain seems to be the most popular choice)
Needle and Thread (if you plan on hand sewing the bows)

If you do a search there and many, many post full of ideas and suggestions but this should help to get you started.

* I deleted your dulpicate post in the other section.

Welcome Hun..... you need a good 12 step program and a support network!

Seriously though, it can become addicting.

Basics? Hm..... Ribbon, hair clips, glue, patience, imagination.... and that's about it LOL

Here's a few things you'll need:
Scissors
Grosgrain Ribbon
Heat Tool or a Lighter
Elastic Thread or needle and thread
Hot Glue
Clips (Alligator, Barrettes)

That will get you started, good luck!!

First, welcome! The supplies mentioned above are truely the "must-haves". Beyond the tools mentioned above, I like the Gator Bite clip. It is my personal "must-have". Once you fold your ribbon to make a bow, it holds it nicely for you while you tie it. The GB creases the bow perfectly! I never could get my bows to crease right by sewing or by simply folding (I'm not that talented ) I can't remember the website I bought it from right off the top of my head. I'll look and see if I can find it, but you can look at the demo video that is on the website on how to use the GB. It has been well worth my money!
