Question Another tutu question...

I looked through the posts but cant find what Im looking for but Im sure its on here already so Im sorry... I just need a quick answer so I can order tulle with a group buy!

If I buy the 6" x 25 yd rolls of tulle, how many rolls per tulle for 1 tutu if I am using 2 different colors? Also, do I cut the strips into 2" each? Im confused! I want to make them for witch costumes for my 2 & 4 year old DDs (which are tall for their age) and I want the tutus to come to their knees. I know I saw on a post that you use like 3 rolls per tutu (I think) so is that 1 1/2 rolls per color? LOL!

I forgot to mention I want them to be really full!

I would use two rolls per color and double up each strip. To get the right length, measure your girls from waist to knee, double that amount and then add 2 inches (for knotting). So if they are 12" inches from waist to knee, you'd want to cut your tulle in 26" strips. So if you are doing black and orange, get two strips of black, stack them on top of each other and tie to the elastic, then do the same with the orange. Does that make sense?
