Ouh! I will have to try that!

I tried to use my soldering iron to cut those Vs today. My 18 inch ribbon end up with no spikes and 5 inches shorter! LOL

keep in mind you "dont" have to use the tip of the burner alone... the side (with more surface area) get plenty hot...

That's just what I do... I cut my v and use the side of my burner to seal. I quickly run it on all the edges.
