1. Is there a way to make your bow stiff, a kind of ribbon that is stiffer? I am asking because i just made my first big layered loopy bow ...and my loops are kinda floppy....dont stand like they should unless i jooshdge (lol sp?) them, then they fall again... ( i used 3/8 grosgrain per directions)
2. how do you tie off your thread after you sew your stitches, the way my mom taught me takes a while, which is fine for a seam or whatever but just for tacking these bows it is driving me nuts!....i saw a lady on that video about the template bow thing she made do some sort of quick know tie off? anyone know what she did, or a better way to do this???

I've used Stiffen Stuff before and the bottle tends to clog, but it has directions on it to prevent this. Other things I've heard of, but not tried are
1. Aqua net hairspray
2. Sta Flo and water combination half/half
Maybe others have used the above and can give some feedback.
To secure my sewing I turn the bow over so the back is facing me. I make a small stitch through one layer of bow only, and under the thread that I wrapped around the bow (hope that made sense), but instead of pulling it tight I pull the needle back through the loop and then pull it tight so that the stitch is holding the end in place. If I'm being extra careful I might repeat that in the same place two or three times, then I cut the thread and it's done.
