Another Tutu Dress Question.. Tutu with Corset

Its me again!! Still racking my brain to figure out the perfect costume. I'd LOVE LOVE to make this. Is making a corset hard? I'm am an intermediate sewer I'll look for a pattern just wondering if anyone has tried this...

That is really cute and looks very simple to make. It looks like the blue piece is just a rectangle with a white strip on the top and the bottom. Attach 3 loops on each side of the rectangle, and weave ribbon through it for a corset. You could leave it like that or sew it to the tutu. I would probably leave them separate. I would also add ribbon strap just in case. I'd hate for it to fall down. Hope that helps.

That's adorable - it reminded me of this lady's work - pretty much the same but on the baby its just way too cute!!

I have seen her work, very nice. My daughter is destin to be Snow White when she's older cause she has dark hair etc... I just have to wait till she can stand up! She's got a paved princess life ahead of her ..not sure if she knows yet

That type of "corset" is super easy. It's basically a rectangle with loops to lace the ribbon through. You probably could use these free instructions to make something similar Just Tutes: corset dress

here are my end results!







i did not use any pattern...so you can do it without. for the tutu part...i didnt have any blue on hand, and i would normally make it much fuller. i just needed that instant gratification! lol

you can totally make this!!!


and of course...my little girl with Cinderella (a couple of years ago!)
