Default It takes me too long to put a bow together

I have no problem tying the bow, deciding on layers, etc., but it takes me too darn long to put together. I line all my clips and then go back and attach the base bow, then the spikes, then the top bow and add the bottlecap. It seems to take forever. Any suggestions? Should I go through and attach all base bows, then all spikes, etc. That would be the asembly line method but it just seems like I would be handling the same piece over and over. How do you pros do it?

lol. I don't have any advice or tips! It takes me forever just to make a bow lately and I only do simple bows (no spikes, etc)! Sorry!

I'm no pro either, but if you're doing several of the same bow, it's easiest to do each step on every bow, then do the next step. Just like you said, assembly line style. Not much help...sorry!

I do the assembly line method. It probably just takes as long but it kind of feels faster.

LOL I think that's why a boutique bow is a boutique bow, not everyone makes them, and they're not giving them away for free!
They do take a lot of time and care to make if done right.
It might make it easier if you start assembling all the elements of your bows sweat-shop style LOL: Cut and crease all ribbons at once. Do a whole bunch of spikes, bunch of base bows, bunch of loops, bunch of toppers, bunch of caps...... lay them all out, stacked bottom to top as you'll need them, and get to work....... all tops on bases, all surrounds where you need 'em, then all spikes on bottoms, then all caps..... time yourself with this method compared to one-by-one and see if that helps.

I assembly line it...drives my friend "business partner" the girl I share booths with crazy. She does a bow from start to finish and I assembly line it, I can crank out over twice what she does in the same amount of time....you get into a good rythm and it's great.

I don't know if this will help or not b/c I don't know if i'm doing it slow or fast but I do all my bows one day or wutever and then I'll cut spikes another time and then I sew my spikes together and then I sit there and make multiple bows.... it seems fast to me I don't really know..hope that helps...
