I've made no sew tutus for my dd and nieces. DH thinks I should sell them too, but not sure since its not sewn. Just wondering, do you tell your customers that its not sewn just to give them a heads up?

Thats true.. lol!
I never really tested my knots to an extreme. DD pulls on them, but in the direction of tightening them.. I'm going to test and see if I need to do any perfecting.

Thanks!

My question on this is if you sew it, how will it still be stretchy? What is the back like or maybe I should say how does it fasten? I just don't understand that part. I myself am trying to figure out how to make it so that where the knots and band are it's not scratchy especially for a tu tu dress? Does anyone's daughter complain about this? Does anyone know how to do the satin wrap around the band and knots?

I would like to see pics too. I know I am doing something wrong because every one that I have tied the elastic gets all twisted and they come off veryy easy. So maybe I need to try sewing them.

Thank you so much for posting that site! It does make sense that way. I have been so stressed figuring out how I for sure want to make my tu tu's before I sell them.

Just curious, do you use the slip knot or the square knot, or another type of knot when tying them? My slip knots seem to have the ability to loosen. I have not tried the square knot yet and wonder if it is better.
