Default Over or Under?

Question of curiosity - do you ladies wrap your centre ribbon over the clip or under the bow and attach it to the clip?

Most of the tutorials I have said to wrap the centre ribbon over the clip. But when I do that with thicker ribbons like velvet, there is a gap between the clip due to the bulk of the ribbon.

I always have the center knot go over the clip...and glue it down that way. I feel it give the bow some extra staying power.

~ ditto ~

ETA: But, there's no wrong either if you don't go over i.e you mentioned Velvet.

It depends, if I'm using an alligator clip, I glue it on top, if it's a french barette, I wrap it around.

I always go over, but I know what you mean by there being a gap sometimes. I don't worry about that too much though because they still stay in hair fine, especially if you ad a no slip grip.

Took me forever to reply. Sorry about that. Been the busiest and it ain't with the biz. Haha!

I finally tried both methods. Over and under. The clip certainly falls nicer if I were to glue the centre to the bow first. But the overall is much neater if I were to wrap the centre to the clip.

I can't make up my mind which is best for me! LOL.
