It seems to me it's the "gathering" part in the middle Look at the first pic you posted and then yours..practice gathering i in the middle...you have to have like a fold..I hope this helps.

Could you link me to where i can find where to purchase instructions on how to make this kind of bow using the TOTT method? I would greatly appreciate it.

I agree with practicing with 7/8" or even 5/8" ribbon. I would not reccomend trying to learn that fold with 1.5" ribbon... confusing!

Those are the instructions. Like I said though, it still takes a ton of practice. I think you are already on the right track, looking closer at yours, I believe it is in the creasing that you might need to practice more. I like to have 3 "hills" if that makes sense.

This bow took me months of practice to get it right. For me, it was about getting the crease in the center just right. I fold my bow in half, then fold each side down..if that makes sense. Then I use 26 gauge gold wire and twist it tightly.

Here is a picture of one of my finished bows. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for DD to wear lol.

I have a tutorial on how to use the sally clip to tie your bow off. It's what I use and it works good for me as far as the creasing goes!! If you're intrested PM and I'll e-mail it to you.

I found this about fixing your bows- it looks like a similar fold to the pic you showed.

I also have a hard time with this bow, but every time I make it it starts to look better. So all I can say is practice.
