Default Do you sew or tie the bows?

Hi Ladies,

Do you tie or sew your bow?

I just bought a new instruction on Ebay and the seller/ teacher strongly suggests that we have to sew the bow....

But it was very hard to needle through these thick ribbons. I had to use my TEETH...

But if sewing the bows can get a better price, I would love to do it.

I sew all of my bows. You can use a thimble to help, or use a pair of hemostats to grag the needle. I just like the way it holds the bows together better. What type bow are you talking about??

I sew the bows just because it helps me to crease my bows. I don't know that there is a right or wrong way- just personal preference. I'll be interested to see what others say.

I sew mine. I use a piece of the shelf liner grippy stuff to pull the needle trough
all the layers.

Guess I am just being too lazy. I knew

I sew before but it took so much time.. And my TEETH did not like it.

I mean for every bow, especially these layered bows...

My husband is back,,,I have to go now.........(He said I was not making bows, I am chatting with other women)
..bye bye!!!!!!!!

okay, I don't sew. Seems like I am one of the only ones not sewing! Actually, I don't really know how to sew it together. I can't seem to get my creases right when I do it. How do you sew them?

oh wow!! I hand-tie mine, but I also hand-crease my stuff. I just never took to the sewing. Plus I like to be able to adjust my loops if necessary before I secure it off. I can't stand a uneven bow and sewing it is all or nothing. but i tie w/ matching dms floss and secure twice and also once again to the clip.

sew with embroidery thread that matches the bow (just because I have tons of it from my cross stitch days)

I see I am not the only one who uses hemostats!
