Default Question about basic bows....

I am going to attempt some bow making... I have a plethora of ribbon due to my scrapbooking obsession. (hehehhe... I used the word plethora) So after I follow the directions that Michelle has so kindly provided to make a basic bow, how do I wrap the string in the middle of the loops with ribbon so it doesn't show? What do you use?

Thanks ladies!

You can do the basic coverage with a plain cut of 3/8", i call this a straight center, or you can do a knot with it for, you can knot 3/8 for infant bows, but toddler and larger, i use 7/8 by cutting about a 6"-7" piece and folding it in half and making a knot. ~~mindy you can see the knot i am talking about, ignore the construction on the website. I haven't had time lately to work on it so the intro pic is a test.

You use hot glue. I have found high temp better to work with. It dosne't harden as fast as low temp. But watch the fingers!! OUCH!!~~mindy

I have sewn mine and tied them depending on the type of clip I am attaching it to. I actually sewed the middle onto a bow and then slipped the alligator clip through the back of the middle part. Of course this was just for my dd but believe it or not it has held up fantastically! It was the very first bow I ever made for her.
