Default 2" Woven headband help...please.

I have been at this over a year now...and sell plenty of the smaller headbands. I have a fair coming up in a few months and thought I would try out the larger headbands at 2". I am running into a problem though and was hoping one of you ladies had run into it to.... The weave is perfect on one side all the way up thru the middle. It is coming down the opposite side that is driving me insane. It is the last 1/4 of the headband that I can't seem to get tight enough..it becomes loose and a bit bubbly...or easy to move. Anyone have any tips on how to keep this from happening!??

ANy help is appreciated!

Melanie

I recently did one where I had the same problem - I redid that dang thing at least 10 times on the last half to get those bubbles out. I ended up gluing each piece down, and I still was not totally happy with it. That's what inspired me to do my instructions. If I recall correctly, the 3/8'' was perfect for the 2'' headbands, but I sell more of the 1'' so I did the instructions based on those. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Isn't it odd that it work all the way around until the last quarter of the headband . I was thinking of trying 5/8" ribbon on it to see if maybe that would give the ribbon more "hold".....I guess I can give it a shot..lol. Anyone done it with 5/8" before?

it has to do with how you lay the ribbon down.... its in the angle...

going up you practically angle the ribbon almost on top of the other to get the tightness.... when you go down the otherside try angling the ribbon at a greater downward angle ....

it may work may not havent done a 2 inch in forever..... they are a PIA ut I want to try it with a 6 color wrap tho it might work then

I have redone it like 10 times..lmao...till my hands hurt from pulling the ribbon as tight as I can. I have tried angling it more too...and it still becomes loose at the end
