again a ? on tutus

I need help. I have tried to wrap the ribbon around the top and it looks funny. I have followed the instructions. Do you the tulle knots small on the elastic?. I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated.
I thought of leaving it plain then adding some bling to the skirt to see if that would help.

I got the same problem. Cannot wrap the ribbon right. I think the reason might be I tied too many knots on the elastic. I tried to use ruffle ribbon and it looked better. I ended with using 1.5" ruffle because it was faster. But 1.5" ribbon left small holes on the waist band. Here are several pictures:

While you want a puffy tutu, I think you are using too much tulle per knot so its not allowing the ribbon to wrap right. Perhaps thin out the amount of tulle and just made additional strands. For example 10 strands of really fat tulle knotted or 20 strands of knotted tulle. You can still use the same amount just spread it out differently.
