crocheted headband hat?

Has anyone ever sewn a couple headbands together to make a hat? I did and it is really cute, I used 3 inch brown, 1.5 pink, and 1.5 shocking pink together. My ? is for the people that make them from the 5.5-6 inch ones would it be the same? I might not be making any sense, I am dealing with 2 dd's fighting!

I want to see too, not that my dd will wear a hat. But, it sounds really, really cute!

No pics right now, my day has been full of fighting maybe I can later when everything calms down! It is cute! I know there is some secret or no so secret to making these into hats, I just wondered if they way I did it was how other people did it.

I was just thinking about this, literally a couple of minutes ago! I will try my hand at it too and post photos, even if it sucks. How funny that this thread comes up- are you guys reading my mind???

Yours look different than mine, that is why I wondered if I was making them different than you. I respect the fact that you sell instructions on how to make them, I just wanted to see if sewing several together would work also. It fits my 10 month old dd, but not any older than that.
