So I've only made the little mermaid clippie...and she still needs some work...but I prefer to use the clip vertical as the body instead of making the mermaid & attaching it to the clip...anyways when I put this on it shows the under side of the clippie that is covered in cream for the body...how would you hide it? cover half the clip in green & half in cream?

I cover my mermaid clip in royal blue...like she's in the water. I also attach her to the clip at a slight angle so it doesn't look like I'm trying to hide the clip. hth!

I think I would just put a small piece of green down before you do the tail, with both ends being under the tail when you're finished.

She looks very cute! Wonderful job! I like using the clip as the body.
