Default cheer items

Well I am going tomorrow to meet with a cheer squad. I was so excited because they were going to order a bow for regular games and a special bow for cheer offs. Well I just got an email from the cheer mom and she said that they were informed that part of their fee was going towards the cheer off bow that they have already sourced. They still want to see my items for regular games. Still a little bummed.

So I was thinking to try and make up the difference I needed to offer a must have item. So I have seen others post about bows for the shoes... does anyone have a pic and how you attach.

Why don't you make TEAM streamers? Get four 3/8" strips in school colors (I use two swiss dot and two solid) and layer them on top of a slightly longer 7/8" white.
On the white, iron on the team and town name - maybe the logo - if you can't use the logo - just use the team name and offer to put a girl's name on for 50 cents extra

Just thought it would be a great idea to TOTALLY personalize it like no one else can - and THAT is something you can't order from a catalog

I just make small loopy bows and put them on a french barrette and that clips thru the shoelaces. I like the french barrette because she is in the Pre-K so real ruff and they are still on when she comes home from school!!! I think it is the 2" barrette

Don't feel bad. They probably ordered their competition bows when they ordered their gear, before they knew of your services.

Anything on their shoes can be tied on. They shouldn't be wearing their cheer shoes anywhere but at games/comps anyway so it's not like the bows will need to be removed.

Game day bows are a hard sell around me. I don't know why.

I used the spkiey bow insturction from Etsy :: punkynmunky :: Punky N Munky Creative Hair Bows and More and attached them to french clips 2 3/4" and that seemed to work great that way they can be removed if needed. they look really cute too. you can check them out on my etsy at Etsy :: crazy4bows :: cRaZy 4 bOwS i dont know how to add pics on here yet so sorry about that. Hope that helped!

That's cute! But how do you go about ironing on the team name, etc.? Do you use some sort of transfer paper? Thanks!!

I print my own ribbon too. You just buy transfer paper (I get mine from Walmart) and I use a program that came with my Kodak printer to create the font and picture that I want to print out on the transfer paper. If you dont have a program you can use Microsoft Word and when you are ready to print choose to use a mirror image so it will print it out backwards. You just iron it on the ribbon! It's really easy! Make sure you make the font & pic small enough to fit on the ribbon you are using and print it out on regular paper until you get the size you want!
