Default Are 1/2" headbands harder to weave?

I have several 1" headbands that I'm using for woven headbands, but I'd like to try the 1/2". Are they harder to do? Do I still use 3/8" ribbon or do I need smaller?

thanks.

I prefer the 3/8 ribbon on the 1/2 headbands. They are 100% easier for me to do then the 1 inch.

I use 3/8 ribbon on 1/2 headbands and it works fine; I find it a little easier perhaps than on a 1" headband. You could use narrower ribbon (i.e. 1/4") but it will take longer because you have to braid (i.e. overlap the ribbon) more times to cover the same length of headband (end to end).

I don't think it makes a difference. You get used to it.

I prefer the 1/2" headbands. They are easier to weave, because they are the same width all the way through as opposed to the 1" headbands that are wider on top and taper down on the ends. I use 3/8" ribbon on both widths.

I use 3/8 on both 1/2" and 1", I find the 1/2" to be easier to weave.

I found the smaller ones are easier for me to do and faster. But I'm sure it's just a matter of practice.

I agree 100% with you. I think the overall look is cuter. I usually mix satin prints with regular grosgrain. The diamond is the satin and the outside is the grosgrain.

I like that idea! I just bought a 3/8" mix from TRR and one of the spools was satin.
