Do you have a picture of your tutu? Where did you get your tulle from? What kind of knot are you using? I've used soft tulle and tulle that was stiff and I've never had a problem. I'm happy to answer any questions you have. I'm not the best at making hair bows but I can make a tutu.

thats is what mine looks like. The black all the way around though. Where is crystal when I need her.......My tulle has been fro hobby lobby or walmart, haven't used anything else because every tutu comes out looking a mess!

Have you tried fabric stiffener? Not sure if it would work as I have never tried it, but just a thought.
