ribbon monogramming

i am trying to monogram on ribbon and it looks a little puckered i have tried differ stab differ thread i am using a#11 schmetz needle any suggestions i have also decreased tension a little

Tension wise, you hv to sorta play with it until you get it right.

Hv you tried the stabilizer as suggested in the other thread? I believe it was the cap tearaway?...

i have pfaff and no i don't have cap tear away as i have to go 40 miles to nearest store to buy stablizers and i haven't went yet to decrease tension you do go - right cause i have never messed with this is a #11 needle right

I'm not an expert (others may correct me here) but I only use Schmetz 75/11 (now I don't know what it means by size #11) for embroidering ribbon.

On the puckering, i'm not sure either if it has to do with your needle. I do know it's all in the stabilizer and tension. You hv to play with your knob tension (it should be in your manual which way to go/turn, decrease/increase). I found that the factory setting doesn't necessarily means it's the correct tension especially on the embroidering.

the puckering is better but i have bobbin thread showing through on top in spots does that mean i should decrease tension more or should i float some stablizer underneath

It sounds like to me that your upper tension is too tight because it is pulling the bobbin thread up to the top. Make the upper tension weaker.
